New Camry Offers Improved Fuel Economy, Advanced Safety Features, Entuneâ?¢ Multimedia System

 

TUCSON, AZ â?? February 1^ST, 2012 â?? Now on sale at Precision Toyota of Tucson, the all-new 2012 Toyota Camry debuts with bold, sophisticated styling, a more spacious interior, improved driving dynamics and class leading safety. The Toyota Camry has been Americaâ??s best-selling car for nine years running and 13 of the past 14 years.

The 2012 Camry is one of the first Toyota vehicles to offer the new Entune system, which leverages the userâ??s smartphone to provide access to navigation, entertainment and information services. Toyota Entune also brings the largest selection of music options available to the vehicle, including iHeartRadio and Pandora. Available HD Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radioâ?¢ add to the music choices, while a USB port, iPod connectivity and Bluetooth® wireless connection are standard on all new Camry models.

In spite of all the new features and refinement in the 2012 Camry, prices on all models are lower than comparable 2011 models, offering consumers a tremendous value. Fuel economy is also improved on both 2.5-liter four-cylinder and 3.5-liter V6 engines.  

The new Camry provides exceptional handling and ride quality due to a more rigid body structure, revised front suspension, redesigned rear suspension and aerodynamics. Inside, engineers reduced wind and road noise, and focused on suppressing noises near the frequencies of human speech to create an environment that is more comfortable for conversation.

Small touches help to increase the feeling of spaciousness inside the new Camryâ??s passenger cabin, while improving forward sightlines. All 2012 Camry models are equipped with 10 standard airbags.

A new, available Blind Spot Monitor detects a vehicle in the adjacent lane when the turn signal is on, signaling the driver using indicators in the side mirrors. The new Camry, like all Toyota models, features Toyotaâ??s Star Safety Systemâ?¢, which includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. It also features the Smart Stop Technology brake-override system.

Toyotaâ??s 36-month/36,000 mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and against corrosion with no mileage limitation.

The Camry will also come standard with Toyota Care, a complimentary plan covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.
